One World War II veteran told us he wished he could help children understand what it means to be a veteran. He worried that many children today do not understand the sacrifices that veterans have made to insure our country's freedom. He worried that children take freedom for granted and wanted a way to teach them its value. When he reviewed Our Country's Veterans, he read it, then stopped and put it down. He looked up, smiled, then told us, "This is just what children need." |
